Barry Island Causeway
McCarthys were employed by VOGC as a Principal Contractor for the challenging scheme.
A ramp up from the existing car park was constructed in the extremely soft marine deposits along with an armour stone revetment and tied into the existing delicate pitched revetment.
The Works
As part of a county wide scheme to improve cycle routes Harbour Road in Barry was modified.
